Client Letters in Shrewsbury, NJ

Dear Guy,
The job is winding down now and I think it can be said, it went well. I am writing to thank you for a job well done, but especially to thank you for Bill 's work as Job Foreman and Construction Manager. This was not a simple project. A lot of the credit for its success is due to the careful oversight he gave to every detail. Consider:
  • Ours is an eighty year old building of historic and aesthetic significance to its community.
  • Our walls are made of twenty inches thick of granite, cement and plaster.
  • The project involved a dozen or more different locations spread throughout the building, each with its unique characteristics and technical challenges.
  • In addition to the usual architects, engineers, excavators, carpenters, plumbers, painters, masons, electricians, landscapers and inspectors, Bill also interfaced with the alarm technicians, flooring installers, elevator installers, crane operators, sheet metal workers, roofers, vendors, church members, officials and staff. At all times and with each individual he protected our interests, your interest and the timeline.
  • He was reliable and kept his promises. As much as is humanly possible in a project of this complexity, he did what he said he was going to do, when he said he would do it.
  • He did everything we asked of him without complaint or argument and accepted revisions, comments and criticisms gracefully.
  • We were happy to have him on the site and believe he met or exceeded expectations in all the facets of the job.
We are just a few short steps from the final walk-through and completion. There is still a thing or two to be resolved, but it is clear that together we have done what we set out to do; to integrate an elevator and ADA lavatories into the existing building with architectural and aesthetic integrity. There are many to be thanked and congratulated, including you. but the guy who was there everyday for every part of the construction was Bill, and he deserves a lion’s share of the credit. I commend you for assigning him to our project.

I wish you the best in this difficult economy. Please feel free to use me as a reference as you bid on future projects. I will be happy to speak on your behalf and as you can guess, will also commend your choice of Bill as Construction Manager.

Sincerely,
David Lehmkuhl

Dear Guy,
This letter is long overdue to thank you and your excellent company for meeting the challenge of restoring and reconstructing our historic slate roof. It gives me so much pleasure to see that copper trim gleaming in the sun again.

I look forward to working with you again in our home and also on additional projects for my clients as well. My clients in Marlboro were just as thrilled with their construction as I was. In a service business like interior design, as you well know, a satisfied customer is everything and you made us look great.
Very truly yours,
Nelson A Kuperberg, ASID

Dear Guy,
I see that you sent someone to our site to repair the holes in the side of the handicap ramp that we discussed a week or two ago. The ramp looks so much better now. I realize that, after four years, you were not obligated to do this, and I am all the more appreciative of your courtesy in that light.

I have always been most pleased with the work your company did in building my law office. That you stand by your product, even after technical warranties have expired, is a further testament to the fine reputation of Charles B. Hembling & Son.

Please accept my sincere thanks for your most professional gesture.

Sincerely,

In closing, allow me to express my compliments for a job well done by the Contractor. Although I have worked with Hembling on numerous previous occasions, it continues to be a pleasure to see and feel a professional constructiion effort that meets and sometimes exceeds the design. Hembling did this on this job.

This completes my report. Allow me to share this report with Jackie Mack, the Business Administrator, and Guy Hembling, the Contractor.

Thanking you once more for this opportunity to be of service to you, I remain,

Very truly yours,
John E. Fee, P.E.

Dear Guy,
I am writing to express our extreme satisfaction and gratitude for the outstanding job done by Charles B. Hembling and Sons on the historic restoration of the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium/New Jersey Sea Grant Headquarters at Fort Hancock Barracks Building #22 at Sandy Hook which the organization has occupied since 1972.

We appreciate the formidable challenges you and your crews faced overseeing every phase of the million-plus dollar restoration project, which is now being heralded as a successful role model for future similar restoration efforts at Sandy Hook.

Equality important to the capability of your company to perform the job as contracted and on-schedule was the ability of our organization to remain open so we could continue to serve the hundreds of students and other stakeholders while the restoration was underway. Thanks to your careful planning and the excellent supervision and consideration of your work crews, our activities and day-to-day operations were able to continue without incident or interruption.

I'm also pleased to acknowledge that your outstanding work played a significant role in our recently receiving the 2010 Monmouth County Historical Commission Historic Preservation Award recognizing our efforts and accomplishments to restore and preserve Barracks Building #22.

Now that the restoration is complete, we are more than satisfied we made the best possible choice in selecting your firm to work with on this landmark project.

Sincerely,

Deb Meehan

Dear Guy,

This is just a note to let you know how satisfied that I am with the finished product of the extension to my home. In the history of home renovations, I assume that none get done as soon as an owner would like. It took a little longer than I hoped for but I am not complaining. I will say that all of your workers (Gabe, his brother, Chico, Willie and rest) were terrific. That also is also true of your subcontractors for the electric, plumbing and tile work. They were all very professional and considerate as they worked. They tried to keep dust at a minimum and made a good effort to clean up each day. I was never concerned about leaving them alone to work or even to let themselves in. They patiently answered my questions and always seemed to be in a good mood. You can have confidence in their work and also with their respect to the owner's property. Eddie was also helpful and he demonstrated a broad knowledge of the work to be done. The township inspectors also spoke highly of the quality of the work and the competency of you company. I would be happy to be used as a reference if customers have questions on their jobs during the bid process.

Sincerely,
Tom Rogers

Dear Guy,

Thank you for fixing our sewage pump and for making our dining room beautiful. We enjoy both!

Kind Regards,
Edwin
