The construction industry has the highest rate of business failure of all businesses in the country. Thirty percent of all new construction-related companies fail the first year in business; 57 percent fail by the end of the second year; 74 percent are gone by the end of the third year. It's a tough business.
- Charles B. Hembling & Son is currently working on an addition to the Tower Hill Church in Red Bank and numerous private residential projects in Rumson, Shrewsbury, & Red Bank. Contact us for addresses and visit one of our sites and see us in action.
- We are Rehabilitating one of the Grand Brick buildings on Sandy Hook. This is an exciting project, breathing new life into one of the beautiful old buildings on the hook.
- Three years in a row, Charles B. Hembling & Son undertook work at the Rumson Country Day School. To date Charles B. Hembling & Son has updated the bathrooms, renovated and added to their nursery school, did a complete overhaul of the caretakers' cottage, a total renovation of the Head Master house and a renovation to the school dining area.
- Charles B. Hembling & Son completed a major overhaul in Red Bank. 27 29 West Front St. is a beautiful classic three story brick building which features (2) new stores, and (4) upscale apartments. We are extremely proud to be a part of the Red Bank History and future. (We've been here since Charles started the company on Shrewsbury Ave. in 1918.)
- Holy Cross School - Rumson. Completed construction of a new gymnasium and major renovation of existing structure. This building has state of the art IT equipment.
- First Presbyterian Church - Freehold. Completed the addition of an elevator, new stone handicap ramp, and major renovation of a previously abandoned section of the historic church.
- Chapin School - Lawrenceville. Constructed a new pre-Kindergarten building, new parking lot, and playground for the school.
- Rumson Country Club - Rumson. "The Tradition Continues" - Previously constructed the men's locker room and pro shop. In 2006, CBH owner Guy T. Hembling, personally oversaw the complete renovation and expansion of the historic club house.
- Monmouth Beach Bath & Tennis Club - Monmouth Beach. Demolition, reconstruction, and renovation of the historic Monmouth Beach Bath & Tennis Club. Work includes - new pilings, windows, roof and siding. Also a complete rebuild of approximately one half of the current structure.
- St Agnes Church - Mother Theresa School. Constructing a new gymnasium and bathroom addition.
